Stack 'n' Wack | One Block Wonder
Stack 'n' Wack | One Block Wonder
Working with medium to large-scale prints, quilters can create dynamic pieced blocks without hours of planning and precision cutting. The kaleidoscope effects occurs spontaneously, thanks to the ingeniously simple 'Stack-n-Whack' cutting technique. By stacking identical repeats of fabric, quilters can efficiently cut the pieces needed for all
Materials
- Fabric
- 6-8 repeats of large print, multi-color fabric
- Repeats are typically 18"-24" so 3-4yds (6 repeats) to 4-5.5 (8 repeats)
- Buying a little more allows for straightening and can also be used for a border
- (Optional) A background fabric to divide the blocks from each other
- Rulers
- 6"x24" ruler
- 60° ruler - can be small to medium sized
- Flat headed pins, your machine, thread, sewing notions, etc.
1st class will be aligning and cutting the fabric. If cutting is completed, then we will begin sewing blocks. We will discuss options on how to design the top.
2nd class will be positioning blocks + how to sew them together
