Introduction to Quilt Making
If you've ever wanted to learn how to make a quilt, this is the class for you. This class begins with a discussion of different brands of rotary cutting equipment, and and by the end you'll have a professional looking quilt to take home.
While exploring the basics of quilt making, you will learn simple tips and techniques to:
-Get a perfect seam allowance
-Strip piece
-Make 4-patch blocks with perfectly aligned seams
-Make basic half-square triangle blocks
-Arrange and sew your pieces into a quilt top
-Mark your top for quilting
-Layer and baste your quilt
-Machine quilt basic straight line designs
-Add traditional double-fold binding
-And so much more!
For a list of materials, please stop in at the shop before your class begins. You will need to have your fabric picked out before class.
Please note, this is an 18 hour class consisting of 6 three-hour sessions.
