Seams Sew Easy Wants to Give Back to Our Community

We love celebrating birthdays, and none more than the joint July b-days of Nancy and Cheri. In addition to our yearly cookout (free hamburgers and hot dogs for everyone from Chef Todd), this year they're asking you for birthday presents in the form of community donations to the Fairfield Food Pantry. We've got a great big yellow bin right inside the front door, you can't miss it!All donations are welcome, but did you know that the food pantry provides more than just food products? There are many people who aren't able to afford personal hygiene products, and the food pantry tries to provide these as much as possible; however, they are often in short supply. They've requested these items in particular, but non-perishable food items are always welcome if you're trying to clean out your pantry!Donations can be dropped off any time during normal business hours. We intend to keep the donation barrel around for a while! We hope to see you at the party!

We can't belive it's May already! We've been having so much fun here in the shop with new fabrics, new patterns, and new events. Richard Tharp's Serger Boot Camp was last week, and it was a blast! Thank you to everyone who attended; you all are the reason we're able to host fun events like that.If you weren't able to come, don't worry! Each block builds a skill to be applied to the next block. Basic piecing in the hoop, as well as piecing skills on a sewing machine. [Class] Two-Fabric Bargello

Bargello quilts are known for being an advanced project, but this class changes that. You will learn how to piece a bargello in one day that uses ombre fabric to create the color changes instead of  having to match all those seams. An instant addiction!
